Markus Lesser joins the management team at EPURON GmbH

Hamburg, 15 September 2009: EPURON GmbH, a subsidiary of the listed company Conergy AG, has added to its management team. On 1 September 2009, Markus Lesser was appointed as the second Managing Director, alongside Joachim Müller.

"In the past months, EPURON’s project business has developed very positively in the various countries and technologies. Naturally, this development also brought with it a corresponding increase in the number of tasks, which made it necessary to expand at the management level," says Dr. Jörg Spiekerkötter, responsible for the EPURON GmbH within the Conergy Board. "I am delighted that in Markus Lesser we have now found a second Managing Director who, with his professional experience and qualifications, is an ideal appointment for this post."

Markus Lesser can look back on over 20 years of experience in the international energy industry. As Managing Director and Sales Manager at the wind turbine manufacturer Nordex AG, he was responsible for project assurance, turnkey implementation of wind parks and the distribution of wind turbines in Central, South-Eastern and Eastern Europe. Afterwards, Markus Lesser became COO at Renergys Group AG in Zurich, Switzerland. In this role, he managed the technical and operational business activities of the Renergys Group.
